Multiple crews were called to the scene of a structure fire on Macedon Center Road a little before 3 am.
According to reports on the scene, the fire started around 2:45 am, and started from the back of the home.
That portion of the home was used as an apartment, and the tenant was reportedly no home at the time.

The owner of the home, who was home, smelled smoke, which prompted the 911 call. It was a difficult fire to fight, according to crews in Wayne County due to the way the home was built and layout.
Five fire companies were called to the scene to help assist.

13WHAM reports, the family that owns the home also owns Packard Valley Family Farms. The business appears to be unaffected.
